The Wave Sauna Interior and Exterior Finishes
The interior and exterior lumber used by Wave is 100% Grade A and is approximately double the thickness of most of our competitors.

Clear poplar is an excellent lumber choice, and our choice of lumber for the interior of our far infrared saunas not only because of it’s even grain and beautiful light color but in addition to that, it puts off absolutely no aroma and does not off-gas in any way. Very important qualities if you are purchasing your sauna with detoxification in mind. Even the most aroma-sensitive person will be perfectly comfortable using a Wave Sauna.
Exterior
The exterior finish of your Wave sauna will not be exposed to the infrared rays and the heat from inside the sauna therefore the exterior lumber and finish can be more flexible. Our stock lumber choices are poplar, red cedar, hemlock, and Spanish cedar. This is where your sauna can be customized to match your decor with your choice of wood or color.
